Any of you our there putting off your orders for gifts, today is your last day to place an order and receive it before Christmas!
Hurry — do not delay! You have until 5 PM!
No post is complete without some images, so I thought that I would add a couple of images I snapped yesterday from the ice storm. Good thing I took these at noon, because by 2 PM the ice was melted! But who is ready for the 3"-7" of snow we might be getting tonight?
For you photographers out there — I used my Pocket Wizards for some off-camera lighting in these two images. Manually set your exposure for the scene, then move your aperture 2 stops down to under-expose the sky, using your manual flash to bring out/light the subject a bit more. In this case, the flash was set at the bottom of this little tree lighting the ice from below on about 1/4 power! The strength of the flash is a little stronger in the first image, making it look light night. Enjoy!
