My Mom is an AMAZING decorator, and I always love how she can take the simplest thing and make a masterpiece. Well, the master bedroom and the guest bedroom needed some MAJOR rennovation — and we finally got to it! In just two days, both rooms were transformed, and I had to show some before and after images. First, the master before — no color on the walls, and just BLAH:
And AFTER! We put a limey/olive green on the wall behind the bed, and my Sister PAINTED the 30×40 painting that serves as a mock-headboard. Isn’t it beautiful!? I am encouraging her to paint more… 🙂
Of course we hung a few of our wedding images — there is a 16×20 on the one wall you cannot see in the images!
Now for one of the guest rooms — this room was being used as a catch-all, and housed a massive TV that we didn’t want anymore (since it hadn’t been used in at least a year) and some old electronics. We sold ALL of it, and now it really is a peaceful room of a rich-light blue, white, and punches of true deep red for accents. It features two canvas prints — one from my trip to Love Affair (the room inspiration piece) and another from my trip to Eureka with Dave. There is still more to come with this room, but I am in love already!
And after!
There are still a few things that we are going to do with this room — white sheet set and bed skirt for one, and hang some stuff from the ceiling — but wow what a difference!
A family session will be here on the blog soon, and I have two shoots today that will be posted this week!!
